“1994.2.4” is an old project by Gu Dexin, which was announced in 1994 but was never actualized. The proposal of the project was published on page four of Beijing Youth Daily on February 4,1994 as an exhibit of the “Bo Yuan Hua 1994 Artistic Interior Design Invitational Exhibition”. We discovered the proposal while putting together documents for the study of Gu Dexin’s artistic activities and implemented the project within its “home furnishing” context.
“1994.2.4” is a “forgotten” piece for both the study of Gu Dexin’s work and the study of individual cases in the history of contemporary Chinese art.
Please note that Gu Dexin is not involved in the impleme
ntation and exhibition of this project. At the mean time DRC No.12 does not have the intellectual property rights concerning this project.
《1994.2.4》是顾德新曾公开但从未实施的一件旧作，是发表于 1994 年 2 月 4 日《北京青年报》第 4 版“(博缘华)1994 艺术室内设计邀请展” 的作品方案。本空间通过对顾德新的艺术资料收集、整理、研究后，挖 掘出了这个方案并根据其“家居”语境实施完成。
《1994.2.4》无论对顾德新作品的全面研究，还是对中国当代艺术史的 个案研究来说，它都是件“被遗忘”的作品。
需要说明的是，顾德新本人均未参与展览和作品的项目实施。本空间也 不拥有该作品知识产权相关权益。
