HU Qingtai
胡庆泰

 

Hu Qingtai, born in 1985, Heilongjiang Province. He received his BA degree from the New Media Department at China Hubei Academy of Fine Arts in 2008. Hu's artwork primarily explores human relationships with objects, as well as relationships between human beings, focusing on the individual's will and mental activity. He interrogates established notions of art and artist identity through appropriating common social transactions. His works span a range of mediums, including performance, video, sculpture and painting.

胡庆泰 1985年生于黑龙江,2008年毕业于湖北美术学院新媒体系,目前生活工作在北京。胡庆泰的作品多在讨论自身与他者及社会环境之间的关系,注重个体意志和心理活动,善于借用社会通俗手法不断对既定艺术及艺术家身份提出质疑,作品涉及到诸多现成艺术媒介,包括行为,录像,雕塑,绘画以及表演等。
